URA Rx
Peer-to-Peer Education
URA Rx Peer-to-Peer Education services are provided by our
own oncology nurses, trained by the contracting company to meet the education
needs of the healthcare professional through:
Teleconference
A Peer-to-Peer teleconference offers a convenient way for
healthcare professionals to learn key product information, including efficacy,
side effects and dosing guidelines. The open forum encourages Q & A, while
letting professionals participate from virtually any location.
Webinar
This method lets URA Rx nurses enhance the presentation
with graphics, photographs or videos. Professionals can participate via live
chat or telephone. If presented as a podcast, the session can also be archived
on a secure web site. This creates an information resource to which the audience can
refer in the future.
In-Service
This is URA Rx's most valuable form of Peer-to-Peer
Education. In-service sessions place a URA Rx nurse inside a hospital or medical
practice, providing hands-on, face to face training for healthcare
professionals. Our nurse demonstrates drug storage and preparation, proper
infusion technique, the use of any special medical devices and anything else
needed to impart a thorough understanding of a particular therapy. Essentially,
our nurse creates a realistic simulation of using the client’s product.
Chart
Review and Treatment Protocol Development
During some in-service sessions, the URA Rx nurse works
with a nurse onsite to review the charts of patients using the client’s
product. This helps identify any issues that may be connected with drug
administration or efficacy. The URA Rx nurse may also suggest changes in
treatment protocol, based on information discovered during chart review. A
refined, streamlined protocol can help the facility run more smoothly, and help
patients manage their therapy more easily. This is one more way that URA Rx
helps pharmaceutical companies optimize brand performance.
